Meet the Office Staff

Billie with Topaz

Billie Smith - Executive Director

Ahhhh…a much quieter year.  After twenty years the bio is getting a little tougher to do.  You are all like my second family and I have worked with so many of you for so long that you all know me too well already!

We continue to grow nationwide, but to my sheer delight we are also growing here in Cheyenne.  I have tested/observed several teams this year and hopefully they will all find their niche and go on to do therapy work for years to come.  I am always amazed at the great teams who are waiting for this opportunity to present itself.  The board understands how important it is to get the word out to the public and it is putting forth great effort to look at different means of advertising.  The best advertisement we have is the work that is already being done by our awesome teams working in the field every day. Good representatives of TDInc. and word of mouth are priceless.

Therapy work is my passion, and I have been blessed to be a main player in the development of this wonderful organization.  As the Executive Director I hope to bring things to the board of directors to consider that will make being a member of TDInc. the best thing you could ever do with your dog.  We are looking at what we can do to simplify the renewal process, to satisfy insurance requirements, and to fulfill facility requests.  I will be working this next year very closely with our computer “dude” (as I refer to him) to make these things happen.  The other project for the year will be going ALMOST paperless for the files which will make a huge impact on room for the office by eliminating the need to look for a larger office to hold file cabinets.  Isn’t technology amazing!

Everyone have a great year ahead!  Thank you so much for making my job the best job ever.  Happy visiting!

Amy and her son Wyatt

Amy Perkins - Office Assistant

I am the newest office assistant here in the TDInc. corporate office in Cheyenne, WY. I was born and raised in Cheyenne and have been here for 21 years.

My dogs have always been my best friends, the ones I can go to for anything. I have not done therapy work yet, but I look forward to getting started and sharing the joy of my dogs with other people.

However, that will have to be put on hold for a little bit as I am the proud new mommy of a very handsome and sweet little boy, Wyatt, who was born September 21, 2011. In addition to a new baby in the house, I am currently going to school to become a nurse. I love helping people and taking care of people, which is exactly why I chose nursing. That is also what I love about TDInc. because that is exactly what our members do.

Even though I have not been here long, I love my job. I enjoy talking to our members and seeing how many wonderful things each one does for people. This organization is a very special thing to every member and everyone we serve. It brings joy to me knowing that I work for an organization that does so much good. Thank you for what you do!

Lindsey with Sophie, Belle, and Lacey

Lindsey Semler - Office Assistant

Greetings from windy Wyoming! As one of the new office assistants in the corporate office, there is so much I have learned about pet therapy and the volunteer work that our members do. I have had a passion for animals ever since I was little. At three years of age, I picked out my first dog and have been hooked ever since! While I have had all types of pets, from reptiles to horses, I have always had a soft spot for dogs.

I have lived in Cheyenne, WY most of my life. My family and I are Disney fanatics; Disney World is our favorite place to be, although the Florida humidity is always a shock compared to the cold, dry air in Wyoming! I am a strong believer in animal rights, and I think that all animals, no matter how big or small, deserve respect.

I am a believer that your pet chooses you, and not the other way around. I currently have three dogs: two Pekingese (Sophie and Lacey) and a Japanese Chin (Belle). My Pekingese, Maggie, that passed away in 2010 will always hold a special place in my heart. At just six months old, she was diagnosed with renal dysplasia and her kidneys were too underdeveloped for her to survive. She could make anyone smile, and I miss her every day.

I have never really been able to say that I love my job, but I am so glad that I can now! TDInc. is a wonderful company to work for, and I couldn’t ask for better people to work with here in the office. I love our volunteers’ enthusiasm as members of TDInc.

I’d like to say thank you to all of our members for everything that you do!
