TEDDY IS HERE! 

We have a special team that visits at Allegheny Health Network Forbes Hospital, in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.  

Over the past 10 years, Allegheny Health Network has been focusing on differentiated experiences for their patients. Therapy dog visits have been one of the most beneficial for the most vulnerable patients, their families and the employees. 

Marilyn Keteles and her Bernese Mountain Dog, Teddy, have been involved since the onset of this program. Recently, the team of Teddy and Marilyn have been recognized at the Allegheny Health Network Gala, as the “Top Dog Team” for impacting every person they touch and delivering care more effectively. A video presentation of Teddy and Marilyn was shown at the Gala. It was created one morning at their home. The video crew then followed them to their weekly visit to the Forbes Cancer Center where they greeted staff and patients with love, warm hearts, and a wagging tail. 

Teddy and Marilyn continue to visit the Forbes Cancer Institute and Forbes Hospital weekly and are truly dedicated to comforting individuals and making such a profound impact on so many lives. Marilyn stated, “When we walk into each of these facilities, it’s not unusual to hear, “TEDDY IS HERE!!” It’s been our privilege to touch the hearts of so many people.”
